robot woes for team 2389

I am with team 2389. We didn't do as well at the regional as we would have hoped. Our robot had a very good hanger but our batteries would not hold a charge so we set didn't run most of match. We get home and go back to school Monday to find out that our robot had fell out of the back of our teacher’s truck and was found in hundreds of pieces. Today we had to dissemble it and say goodbye to it.

I'm sorry about your luck... That is not the way you wish to end your season. I hope that your future endeavors turn out a little bit better :/

Ouch!! Talk about adding insult to injury.
I doubt I can say anything to help you feel better. I can only suggest that you wait a week or two, then meet and find the positives you got out of this year. Learn from them and grow again from there.

Re: robot woes for team 2389

cool match! that's one of the fastest pull ups i've seen! how do you do it?
(what motor/s and what reduction?)

about your robot: I know it isn't fun, but like people said.. try to find the positive things and focus on the future.

learn from your mistakes and let them make you stronger, but don't dwell on them and let them hinder your forward drive!
edit: also, sometimes "not nice stuff" happens. you just have to learn to deal with that and not let it get you down.

Re: robot woes for team 2389

we used a simple arm attached to motor that held a claw that hooked on to the tower. we then had a boat winch, powered by a cim motor, attached to a cable that picked it up. could not find reduction on boat.

Re: robot woes for team 2389

Would it help you to know that even though your robot is disassembled, the necklace I was given while walking by your pit is still hanging from my rear view mirror? (One of the coolest things I was given over the weekend. )
