FIRST Wins 10^100, gets $3M
Google started their 10^100 (Ten to the power of 100) project in 2008, and over 150,000 ideas from 170 countries were submitted. 16 were chosen for a public vote, and FIRST was one of the five winners, garnering a $3 million donation. Read about it here.
