Help Detroit Robotics Teams win $250K
Inspire Detroit Teens through Robotics and Engineering
http://www.refresheverything.com/mezdetroit Today begins our month-long campaign to help the teens of Detroit. The Michigan Engineering Zone (The MEZ) is competing for $250,000 in the Pepsi Refresh Project. We need your votes today and every day in November to win! Located in downtown Detroit, The MEZ is a fully-equipped robotics workspace and academic support facility where Detroit high school students design, build and test robots for FIRST Robotics competitions. With additional funding, we will be able to expand and better equip The MEZ so that more Detroit high school students can participate in FIRST Robotics, mentoring, tutoring, and academic support programs. Learn more about The MEZ at http://www.engin.umich.edu/newscenter/feature/mez. We are partnering with other organizations competing for funding in other categories. If we vote for their cause, they’ll vote for ours! Our current partner is: Start an Aquaponics Program – Middle School in New York, $25,000 category (http://www.refresheverything.com/aquaponicsinschool) Encourage your friends, family and colleagues to vote every day in November at http://www.refresheverything.com/mezdetroit. Vote for The MEZ! Jeanne P.
