2011 Classmate Image Windows Verification?
After 1178 got our KOP, we went back and reimaged the Classmate. Once that was over, we found out that the classmate did not have any programming sources (aside from National Instruments Vision Assistant). But our main problem was that every time we switch users we get a message saying to input a windows to key to verify our software was genuine. Has anybody else had this problem, and if so, does anybody know what we're supposed to do?

If you have a working internet connection, it should have successfully activated once connected. Also, I'm assuming you have a 2010 classmate, are you experiencing any low disk space errors? I reimaged my classmate and now i have 0 bytes left.
-UPDATE Turns out Windows was excessively increasing the size of the page file. Now have about 600mb free on the 16gb ssd, which is manageable, however not enough to install Labview, which is a good enough reason to switch to a better laptop for programming. I'm still trying to figure out how much of this is User-error, if it is at all. Last edited by Baconfly : 08-01-2011 at 20:46.

We reimaged our classmate as well--no programming software on ours, either. We're planning on copying the installation disc files onto a flashdrive and installing it that way, or installing LabVIEW to a flashdrive and running it off that. When you were done with the reimage and booted the classmate normally, did it ask you to connect to the internet to verify your activation or something like that? Ours did, and it seems to be working without an activation key.

It shouldn't really be asking for the key. Microsoft's activation server seems to be unreachable anyway, so it's not like it matters.

Make sure you have a decently fast flash drive for installing Labview onto otherwise you may have a lot of crashes or "not responding" scenarios due to the limited bandwidth.
