Minibot Tower Design

Hey Everyone,
Sorry if this question has been asked already on the forum. We are currently in the process of trying to recreate field elements, and we found a discrepancy. The FIRST specs state that the pole on the Minibot tower is 1.5 inch OD and the game manual (The Arena, Page 7) states that they OD is 1.75 inches. Does anyone know what the correct measurement is? Thanks.
Stephanie

I found this also. This is crucial to the design of the mini-bot, and if we do not have the correct dimensions, we will not be able to build a correct bot. Did anyone post this on the Q+A?

FIRST drawing GE-11061, found on p. 65 of 2011 Game Field Elements.pdf, shows the Pole material as 1-1/2" Steel EMT (i.e., conduit), with outer diameter 1.74" and inner diameter 1.61".

For more on EMT sizes, look here.

I believe in intuition and inspiration. Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution. It is, strictly speaking, a real factor in scientific research.

Richard is correct.

I built a field for our remote kickoff, it is 1.5" Steel EMT piping. That should be the specification for your minibot.
