Our robot isn't named, as far as I know, although I know our cRIO was named after an old mentor.

08: I don't think we named it this year.
09: Nom-V (i believe this name was given in the middle of the season for the chevrons on our collection belt)
10: Uptimus Prime Six (UPS, our sixth robot, also the kicking system sounded like a Transformer)
11: UPtaSaurus Rex (Our roller clam/arm on the lift was deemed to look like a dinosaur head)


We also refer to our Classmate as "the baby".

2005 - Elvis, King of Rack and Rail (named for its extension elevator system)
2006 - Sergeant York (named for its sharp-shooting turret)
2007 - N/A (this robot was our least successful - since then we have always been careful to name them before the competitions!)
2008 - Fezzik (named for its hefty arm) and Speed Racer (quite obviously for its speed)
2009 - Colonel York (named for the similar turret to the Aim High robot)
2010 - Vortex (named for the hurricane-volume vacuum possessor that could lift trackballs)
2011 - KangaRoo (hostbot is Kanga, which carries Roo around in her "pouch")

Big Robot: Rampage (named after our team: The Robo-Rams[Named after our school's mascot, the ram])

Minibot: Ramboy (Also named after our school's mascot)

Our team knew that some other robots would look like Dinosaurs, so we thought a dragon was just as cool. Plus since our team is a syndicate this year we thought dragonov (yes I know it's spelled dragunov, but this is so we don't get in trouble with anyone haha).

But when my team goes to nationals, our teams have to meet up, since you guys are our +1000 counterparts. haha

FIRST team 2395 robot's name is Ryujin, meaning "Dragon King" in Japanese.

I get confused trying to remember the names of the 1992-2003 robots, so I won't risk getting them wrong here.

We decided pretty early on that the minibot would be Tagalong this year, because it's just too perfect.

Took a while longer to decide on the actual robot name, but after extensive googling she's now Mazarine (after a type of blue butterfly).

Our names follow no pattern whatsoever. So far we've had a cartoon fish, a puppet from Sesame Street, and a team captain. And now a butterfly and a Girl Scout cookie.
