Are you related to team 33, the Killer Bees? You seem to have their logo. You're also located in Auburn Hills, which is too close to be coincidence

The Killer Bees are the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this too. You guys wouldn't happen to be from Avondale HS, would you?

Re: pic: 3538 Full Metal Yellow Jackets Logo

I would have preferred the tools to be more graphic based to fit the image. The image itself is very familair. It looks like the Georgia Tech mascot.

Re: pic: 3538 Full Metal Yellow Jackets Logo

Team 3538 is from Avondale high school in Auburn Hills, MI.
Team 33 used to be from Avondale - and that's how we got our logo (and our name) - but we left Avondale due to lack of interest in 2003.
Our logo is different - We have an Irish bee (being from Notre Dame Prep) and have a gear behind it.
Team 33 is from Auburn Hills because we are located at the Chrysler Tech Center (in Auburn Hills) - but our school (Notre Dame Prep) is in Pontiac.

Re: pic: 3538 Full Metal Yellow Jackets Logo

There is no relation between the teams now.

Team 33 was formed at Avondale in 1996. In Beginning in 2001, Notre Dame Prep was added due to lacking support from students at Avondale. In 2003, it was NDP only. Because we were formed at Avondale (and remained with them for 7 years), we took on their logo and name. (as they are the yellow jackets, we became the Killer Bees). As we added NDP, we modified the logo to accommodate the NDP fighting irish, but remained the Killer Bees. Avondale has now formed a new team, again with the yellow jackets logo, which is why ours is similar.

Re: pic: 3538 Full Metal Yellow Jackets Logo

No relation besides rookie location, but we gladly offer our services if they need help at all this build season. Especially because we are located so close.

I'd like to add that the Killer Bees obtained their logo also from Chrysler. We are the first Chrysler FIRST Robotics team to be created back in 1996. Chrysler has an old 1960s car called the Super Bee. (They also have the Dodge Rumble Bee truck now.) So we chose the name "Killer Bee" in support of our main sponsor and creator, Chrysler.

Thanks for clearing everything up. Probably should have explained more when I posted it
It will look really cool if we partner up with 33 this year!
