Labview install troubles (not like other posts)

From the posts I have seen from searching, other people have been having trouble installing some of the products but are still able to download about four of the products. I am running Windows XP, and get an
"error code 32. nidist.id file not found" when trying to install the CD. It gives me an option to install the other products, so I click "ok" to skip the first one, but then this happens over and over again so none of the products are actually installed.

Any help?

Re: Labview install troubles (not like other posts)

Hi John G,

Which set of software were you installing, and were you using the DVD distributed by FIRST? The only reason that this error should appear is if the nidist.id files were actually missing from your distributions. This could possibly happen if you downloaded the files from your network and your firewall blocked some of the files from downloading, or if you are installing on a machine without a DVD drive and you didn't copy the entire contents of the FRC DVD.

Re: Labview install troubles (not like other posts)

I experienced this same problem on a laptop that I was trying to install Labview on. The same disk I used in the Laptop was able to install Labview on other computers. I gave up and was not able to fix the problem. So I don't really have any good advice, but you are not the only one who had this happen.
