Hi,

I noticed your question in the Q&A forum, and found the official answer "lacking in details".

Since you are rookies I thought I'd make it clear: you CAN use linear actuators, if you remove the built in motor and replace it with a legal 2011 FIRST motor.

This could save you some time in fabrication.

Good luck!

Thanks for letting us know, we think we are going to go with the motor and ball screw approach.

If your looking for insight on using COTS actuators and KOP motors. We did this our rookie year. PM me if you run into trouble.
