Iiko problems.

Hey everyone, I'm having a slight problem with the skin binding and you'll all probably think I'm dumb, but I am so dont feel bad about thinking it When I bind the skin to the Iiko and try to move his arms, the ear and the chest under the arm follow. When I move the arm down, the ear stretches after it, when up, the underside of the arm extends outward like a shoulder blade on steroids. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Re: Iiko problems.

Make sure you edit envelopes on the skin to make sure each bone only moves what you want to move.

Re: Iiko problems.

Well my main problem here is that the paint weights tool doesn't let me use the remove. I can select it and all but it doesn't affect the character at all.

Ah, I have had that problem...what you do is you go into edit envelopes for the bone you want to edit, select the verticies you want to remove, go down to Abs. Effect and type '0', then go to the "Exclude Selected Verts" button (face with a slash through it) and press it. That should work.

Re: Iiko problems.

I have a question.
So the iiko doesn't import into maya properly, the geometry transfers but the movement doesn't (I don't really know technical terms). I know how to make joints, but I'm not sure how to connect them to the body...
