Mini Bot Wheels

We are thinking about machining the wheels from the FTC Mini kit so they will fit the curvature of the pole. We were wondering if this is legal. We can't find anything that says we can't but we want to make sure we can.

Thanks,
Austin

Re: Mini Bot Wheels

Before you "machine" anything, try inverting the tread band on the wheel. It is a tight fit and you must be tenacious in getting it off. It goes back on the wheel relatively easily. The result is a flatish (slightly concave) tread that will give a bit more contact patch on the pole. Experiment with this setup before you make the irreversible alteration to the tires' profiles.
