RS550 Test Videos
We just got around to testing out this today and i recorded the results. We hooked it up to a 64:1 transmission and attached a 40 lb load.
Here are the videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RB92j2MO3Mk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuTjJUwgCmQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFHZ3NVt18E http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nr9U5ANoD-M |

Re: RS550 Test Videos
I'm going to guess that the weight is not being "let" down, but instead the motor is being powered off and the weight is falling down?

Re: RS550 Test Videos
What diameter is the spool you are using?

Re: RS550 Test Videos
I think it is 2 inches but I can let you know for sure tomorrow. Also the rope is kevlar, we used it on our winch last year. We could "almost" stop the backdriving when we took an alligator clip and clipped it from the positive to negative terminals on the motor, in a mentors words we were "putting on the brakes".
