MOEmentum: FYI - Week 3 "It's Week Three Already?!?"
MOEmentum: FYI - Week 3: "Chassis Completion" is available at the following website.
http://moe365.org/moementum/moementum4.php -------------------------------------------------------------------------- MOEmentum: FYI (First-Year Infobase) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- FIRST is a constantly expanding organization with new teams cropping up every year. Because so much is demanded in such a short period of time, many new (or rookie) teams often find themselves rapidly over whelmed. Fortunately, it is a part of the FIRST tradition to assist rookie teams through out the course of the build and competition season. Team 365 or MOE from Wilmington, Delaware is no exception. As we are entering our tenth season, we well know that the experience, while at times challenging, is nothing short of incredible. Therefore, in the spirit of Gracious Professionalism, we have created MOEmentum: FYI to assist new teams. Informed weekly via e-mail during the season, many teams will find the MOEmentum: FYI articles to be full of helpful TIPs from student and adult members, and adult mentors. In addition, there are also documents that our team finds helpful in organizing our meetings. Good luck to all teams this season, especially First-Year Teams! MOE 365 |

Excellent stuff! I just read through most of it, and the thing I like the most has to be the team updates during dinner. This is a great thing, and I think I will adopt it.
Although its called First-Year-Infobase, veteran teams can still learn a lot from other teams! Another great and informative aspect by MOE. I would not expect any less! Great job guys! ![]() Last edited by Cyberphil : 25-01-2011 at 23:13. Reason: More content. |

Thanks, a lot of good tips in there. The programming tips were straightforward and helpful. I have to agree on the importance of the drive team and human player needing to understand all the game rules and the arena. I believe also, that the human player must have the criteria of being able to logically think through what tube they probably should bring out without intimate knowledge of the strategy for other robots alongside with their team.
