Installing Driver Station w/out full FRC Tools package

Hi all,

Here's a little discovery I made while setting up a new Driver Station laptop. Basically this gets rid of the Vision errors without having to install the full FRC Tools package from the LabVIEW disk.

Put the LabVIEW install disk into your drive and exit out of the autorun if it starts. Assuming your CD drive is D:, browse to D:\Resources\Distributions\Vision Development Module 2009\Products\Vision_RTE\visionrte. Run visionrte.msi and click through the installer. After rebooting, the Driver Station software should be able to load without having the Dashboard crash.

So far we haven't seen any problems (the camera feed works too!). Hope this helps.
