Festo VUVG Problems
Our team has a Festo double pneumatic valve (VUVG-L10-B52-T-M7-1P3), and we didn't get a wiring/instruction sheet with it when we got it (previous FRC season). We have other solenoid valves connected to the solenoid breakout, that is wired to the PD board, supplying the solenoids with 12v. Do we need another solenoid breakout on the c-Rio (is this legal?), or is there some other way to wire the solenoid? A wiring/tubing diagram, along with helpful tips would be appreciated. Thank you!!!

Re: Festo VUVG Problems
That Festo solenoid does need 24v to operate.
The only legal way to wire it is through another solenoid module running at 24v connected to the two spare terminals on the PD's 24v output. You are allowed a second solenoid module (slots 7 & 8). VUVG-L10-B52-T-M7-1P3 Quick Summary wiring photo Make sure you tighten the fittings with an allen key. Last edited by Mark McLeod : 06-02-2011 at 08:44. |

Re: Festo VUVG Problems
Do the two solenoid modules (for 12v and 24v) go into ports 7 and 8 of the c-Rio?

Re: Festo VUVG Problems
Yes, slots 7 & 8
Either or both can be used. |
