C-rio old vs new

Our team 384 has a 2 year old c-rio, and we wanted to know if it could last another season, as we are trying to budget our money for the future, would there be a considerable difference in using a new c-rio vs a 2 year old c-rio? Plus what is the lifespan of a c-rio just for future reference?

Re: C-rio old vs new

The FRC cRIO's are all the same. They haven't changed from 2009.

They last a long time.

They last even longer if you follow the cleaning instructions and install provided gaskets that keep aluminum shavings form bouncing around amongst the electronics.

We use the gaskets, but what are these cleaning instructions you speak of?

Re: C-rio old vs new

Post a picture. If pins are bent, you probably want it fixed. If there are holes drilled in it or other mods, it won't pass inspection at an event. The RMA process is quite fast, but this is typically for units that aren't functioning.
