Bill of Materials- Minibot

Hi, I have read the guidelines for the Bill of Materials and it does not mention anything about the minibot. This may have been asked already, but does anybody know whether or not if the parts used on the minibot should be included on the Bill of Materials? If so, should its parts/costs go under a separate subsystem?

Re: Bill of Materials- Minibot

Got a rule to back that up?

I would note that <R18> specifically declares the BOM to be for the HOSTBOT, and the Minibot BOM rule (<R96>) was deleted. As such, it appears that Minibot parts are not to be included in the Hostbot BOM.

However, it would not hurt to note them; cost need not be noted (<R20-F>). I would also do a quick check with Q&A.

Re: Bill of Materials- Minibot

I was also looking through the rules for this today. It appears that minibot parts do not have to be accounted for on the BOM.

I'm guessing that because FTC teams are allowed to bring bots in for FRC teams to use, plus with the trading of minibots between teams, that it doesn't make sense to make it part of the BOM. Minibots will go through inspection though.

Re: Bill of Materials- Minibot

The minibot BOM requirement was dropped to make it easy for anyone to bring in a minibot for inspection and sharing. Inspection is a requirement to check for parts and materials usage and safety, weight and size.
