Compressor Issue

We've recently had a strange issue develop with our compressor system that I can't seem to figure out.

We have the pressure switch wired with the signal (white) wire to one terminal and ground (black) to the other. In code, we instantiate and start the compressor object, and the compressor correctly starts.

When the pressure switch opens, the compressor stops, however we also loose all communication with the robot.

I'm the programming mentor and haven't seen the behavior for myself yet, but I'm interested to know if you can think of any mistake that could be causing this. (Spike relay wired backwards?)

Thanks.

Re: Compressor Issue

Absolute pure speculation here, but are the cRio, compressor and spike all isolated from the chassis? Sounds like some back EMF from the (inductive) compressor motor shutting off is getting into somewhere it shouldn't.

Re: Compressor Issue

Not sure if this has been solved yet, but speaking from experience, check the battery.
