2CAN Setup Help

After an immense amount of googling and searching, we were unable to figure out how to correctly setup the 2CAN module. We have read and re-read the PDF but we are still sitting here with a strobing orange light. Any help would be great!

Re: 2CAN Setup Help

Some additional information would be helpful.

- 2CAN firmware version number.
- Are you able to connect to the 2CAN webdash?
- What is the IP of the 2CAN?

You can use the firmware utility to determine the IP of the 2CAN. If you are able to view the webdash do your Jaguars show up in the main page? An orange led indicates that the 2CAN is not communicating with the cRIO but has good CAN connectivity. This assume that you have the latest 2CAN firmware installed.

Re: 2CAN Setup Help

2CAN FW: 2CAN_Firmware_2_1_FIRST.crf
Can only connect to the web management page if it goes bridge====2CAN===cRIO1. Having it on port 2 of the cRIO will not let me see it.

IP is correct now at 10.28.65.10.
Not sure why it isn't seeing the cRIO, but I cant find anything anywhere (including CD) for example code or labview vi's for it. Ive spent about 4 hours googling and an hour searching here and have yet to find anything.

Re: 2CAN Setup Help

2CAN and the Black Jaguar CAN both use the same VIs.
The only difference is the plugin, which is set via the cRIO Re-imaging utility.

If you would like examples in LabVIEW, I can help you with that.
You can find my team's code here:
https://github.com/kamocat/ThunderTech_3213

If you'd like something specific, I can make an example.
