Field Dimensions

Hello Site, this is my first post, and i have a question
I am on the programming subteam, and for autonomous, we need to know how far the robot must drive to get to the pole. We haven't been able to find the distance from the start position to the pole. Can anyone help us? Thanks in advance.

Re: Field Dimensions

Welcome to CD.

The plane that defines where your forward bumper lies when you start the game is 18 feet from the alliance wall (1/3 of the field length). Keep in mind that this is NOT the distance to the edge of your scoring rack, so you need to find that information out and plan accordingly.

If you are familiar with SketchUp, I can post a SketchUp model of the field and you can measure using it. Hopefully my moel is correct. If you want the model, PM me to ensure I get your reply.
