Help - Lubricant

We are team 3462 and we have a doubt:
Are we allowed to use a lubricant in the lifting part of our robot? as you know the kit parts came with a lubricant for the motors, but we want to know if the lubricant can be used in the lifting system of the arm robot. If it is possible to use a lubricant, which type?

Re: Help - Lubricant

There are no rules preventing you from using a lubricant. However, getting it onto the field or game pieces is not a good idea.

Re: Help - Lubricant

You may use grease or other lubricants on the robot (not the minibot). Make sure that whatever you use will not contaminate the field or other robots.

The main relevant rule is <R31>

Quote:
<R31> Lubricants may be used only to reduce friction within the ROBOT. Lubricants shall not be allowed to contaminate the FIELD or other ROBOTS.
