2011 Kettering Event District
It's almost time to crank up them robots and head over to that nice little home at Kettering University. It seems as every year, this will be a pretty stacked district. Including two time defending World Champs The HOT team (67) and numerous of other big name teams, that include everyone, because we all know michigan teams rock!
But what a way to start week one... We've already seen some pictures of robots that are competing.. Heading into the toughest event outside of MSC and STL, I'm excited! Should have some excellent pow-wow between powerhouse teams, and it'll be good to finally see how the game will be played!
Anyone else feel like kickoff was just a few days ago?

Kettering is shaping up nicely. A lot of good looking main robots. So far 10 teams have registered 15 minibots.

So, what happened at Kettering? Heard they had to redo match schedules and didn't start until 1:30 ish...

It wasdelayed due to ice storm, thenstarted, but then 3 teams pulled out. Since they had only played 1 match, the staff just stopped for lunch, a shuffled, and started again.

Teams definitely improved as the event went on. I know we were failing for three matches, finally got our arm working right and ended with three straight wins. Final match was very special as our minibot finally worked, and we put up 4 logos with a little help from our friends (67 and 894, you were fantastic).
