high tubers!

OK, so we have a few threads discussing high scores all around the world but some teams, my team included have been scoring tubes like crazy and not doing a mini bot. So here is what I would like to know.
What is the highest score in a match where the winning alliance did not use mini bots?

Re: high tubers!

or you can just subtract the minibot bonuses from all matches and see what the hish scores are. Probably going to be 85 pts as the max is 135pts - 30 (1st) - 20 (2nd) = 85pts.

This is just a guess, but I would assume in this range would be the max

Re: high tubers!

If an alliance had no minibots to even attempt, they'd have more time (20+ seconds usually) to spend scoring tubes. So subtracting minibot bonus may be a low estimate of how effective tube only alliance could be.

True, but if a team doesn't have a minibot, it's usually (not always, just frequently) an indication that the bot won't be scoring a huge amount tube-wise anyways.

There's a hard limit on the number of points you can score without using the minibot.

Re: high tubers

First of all I know that 85 is not the Max because our alliance scored 86 in a match in OKC but the question was pointed toward, have any teams decided to be just a tube scorer and how successful have they been?

Re: high tubers!

Well the max points without mini-bot is 108. Thats with 6 logos and three ubertubes on the top row. Wouldn't be a surprise to me if a couple of the great teams out there decided not to do minibots and try and just hang tubes did it.
