Thanks 488 and 2557!

Team 956 would like to thank our alliance partners 488 Xbot and 2557 the SOTAbots for taking us to semi-finals at AOR!

We were absolutely thrilled to work with you guys. This is the first time in my memory that we have been really overjoyed with our alliance partners.
Our team this year was composed of almost all rookie students, and getting to play with y'all and actually upset an alliance in elims that my team was pretty scared of was the experience of a lifetime. This is the best our team has done in my memory, and it is especially memorable for a new-student team and for my senior year....especially when I thought we'd be lucky if we got through the weekend without being dead on the field with communication problems.

Your drive teams and coaches were fabulous to work with. Thank you again and congratulations!

A strong alliance and a great showing! Congratulations on the Dean's List award too. All things considered, you guys had a pretty good season

See you in St. Louis!

Thank you thank you! Our team had a really rough start to the year [our total funds last November were about $2000, and we were expecting we wouldn't be able to afford a regional], so it means so much to all of us that we had such a great season. We have a tiny [9-student, 4-mentor] and underfunded team, and it is nice to be enthusing over a regional with some of the big-league teams here on the West Coast.

A big congrats to Skunkworks as well! As usual you guys are an inspiration: someday I hope to mentor a team as successful and well-designed as yours. We appreciated that you published so much of your scouting data. Hope to see you in St. Louis!

Re: Thanks 488 and 2557!

Thanks to you guys as well! I had a great time playing with you this weekend, and I appreciated that you bore with us and kept your cool despite the mechanical failures of our robot.

Overall the AOR was an amazing event for me, and I'm glad I got the chance to experience elims with you and 2557!
