CRIO Imaging Tool Error 56

We are experiencing intermittent issues with our autonomous period. When we build our autonomous is works fine and scores, however after several runs it will slam our arm in reverse. We tried re-imaging the cRIO and we recieved this error:

"Unable to complete operation because
of unexpected error.
Error 56 occurred at TCP Open
Connection in repFPC open
connection.vi->Query Format.vi-
>Format Target.vi->ConfigUtility.lvlib:
ReImageTarget.vi->ConfigUtility.lvlib:
Dialog.vi

Possible Reason(s):

LabView: The network operation
exceeded the user-specified or system
time limit.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: CRIO Imaging Tool Error 56

There are a couple of things that can cause TCP connection errors when reimaging the cRIO. One is the Windows firewall. Another is using the Classmate with a direct cable and no intermediate router or switch device.

I found another possibility on the NI web site:

If the controller is connected to the development PC with a cross-over cable, this error is typically caused by specifying a gateway IP address for the controller when one does not exist.
Check your network configuration and make sure there's no gateway set.

Re: CRIO Imaging Tool Error 56

When I was imaging to v28 I was getting those errors. Should be a physical problem on the cRIO. The cRIO has a couple tiny switches in the front (little rocker switches) I'm not sure which ones but some of them need to be switched. There should be a help file on usfirst.org or ni.com but I'm not sure where exactly it is.
