How to use driver station inputs

i have looked many places for an answer to this, and I knew how to do this 6 weeks ago, but now I can't figure out how to turn a digital input on or off on the driver's station. We're calling it correctly, with ds->GetDigitalIn(1), for instance, but on the screen itself, I'm not sure which button this is, or how to turn it on or off.
thanks!

Re: How to use driver station inputs

Go over to the I/O tab and click on one of the buttons. You may have to click on "configure" and select compatibility IO.

Or, you could attach the cypress I/O board that came in the KOP and wire in some switches.
