Sharing airport transportation?

Having already attended two regionals, I'm running low on vacation time. This has caused me to trade a ride on the team charter bus for an airplane ride that gets into St. Louis at 9:15 pm Wednesday night. I know taking the metro is an option for transportation to downtown, but I'm not thrilled with the idea of walking for blocks in an urban downtown at 10:30 at night. Our hotel tells me that another option is an airport shuttle that costs $37 for a round trip.

Is there anyone else getting into the airport that night that has cheaper transportation which might be available for ride sharing? Or anyone know of any other options?

I'm flying in at 5:30 and need a ride downtown if there is someone I can get a ride from that'd be great, otherwise I'll be taking the light rail most likely.
