End of the Summer FIRST BBQ
You're invited to the first ever End of Summer Robotics Barbecue on Saturday, August 27th from 10:00 to 4:00 at Willamette Park in West Linn. Not only will there be lunch for five dollars, there will also be a chance for you to see or show off your robot to the community. This barbecue will give FIRST teams from all over Oregon a chance to socialize with other people with similar hobbies and interests. Please RSVP so we know how much food to buy. If you are coming as a team, let us know how many people you will be bringing and if you want some space to set up a robot demonstration. If we can get enough teams to bring their robots, we may even be able to play some Logomotion matches! But should we "discriminate" based on how long your team has been around? If you think about it, FIRST's goal is to inspire students, right?
...But students on rookie and second-year teams, if anything, are in greater need of being inspired.
