Cool Summer 2011: What Did You Do?

Hey guys. Hope you all have had a great summer. Well, we will all be going back to school soon, which means time too start preparing for FRC 2012 (and for my team, "Pi-Tech" training for the rookies starts even sooner.). Anyways, I'de like to open this thread to anyone who wants to share what they did this summer, robotics related or not. I'll start:

-Went to a leadership training convention in Wisconson for the youth group I'm part of (BBYO: Bnai Brith Youth Organization) for 2 weeks (amazing experience!)
-Attended jazz camp at William Paterson for a week (had an awesome time!) and actually ran into two other FRC kids there! One was even from Team 303, who helped us and 2016 win the NJ Regionals last year!
-5 day cruise to canada with family
-Trip to my connecticut home and the berkshires with grandparents and brother

And that was pretty much my summer. One of the best ones I have ever had!

Your turn!

You sponsor teams? We haven't thought of that. We just get the money for the robotics foundation, and then they pay for the FLL teams we mentor.

Well we teamed up with a local elementary and a local girl scout troop, as far as I know, we are paying for them.

edit: I learned that the girl scouts are getting a grant and the local school team, we are making up the difference.
