Running Multiple FRC 2011 Robots at the Same Time
I'm at a demonstration with a few other teams in the area right now, and we currently have time slots set up for robots to demonstrate.
Is it possible to have more than one robot going at the same time? We tried this, and found a lot of interference and lag when controlling. I reset my team's radio earlier today, and other teams have as well. Our radios are set at AP mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: Running Multiple FRC 2011 Robots at the Same Time
The multiple networks are probably all trying to operate on the same channels and interfering with one another.
If using AutoChannel, then try staggering the booting of the robots. Let one get established and broadcasting and the next AP turned on will try to avoid using the first robot's already busy channel. You can force each AP to start with different channels. One team can stay at the default and just change the others. Or you can try putting some on 5GHz and others at 2.4GHz if the driver stations are capable of that. Last edited by Mark McLeod : 08-10-2011 at 13:10. |
