Re: 2012 Kickoff Discussion

I'm thinking something like Aim High, throwing balls like basketball/football, but at the end there's a balance side of it... as in the two black box robots that need to balance using the kinect maybe??

I think with less than an hour to go before we get an actual game we are far far beyond game hints. Game hints are so Friday.

Was a little busy and just found this thread. By the amount of pages in the thread that built up so quickly, looks like it survived just fine.

Thanks, Brandon!

Can't grasp, grab, grapple, etc. But if you can reach them - with only a 14" extension and considering the Fender - then you could dunk.

How heigh is the bump in the middle of the field? my team seems it would be easier just to jack up the robot and go over the bumps instead of figuring out an idea to balance across that board.

Read 2.2.5 (yes, you have to read even the obscure parts of the manuals)

So the beam in the middle is only 4 inches tall, so if you robot's wheels are above 8 inches tall, you could easily go over the bump, instead of building a contraption to lower the balance

Or you could have a lot of smaller wheels, or some method of raising and lowering your wheels
