Quote:
The Robot must have a Frame Perimeter that is comprised of fixed, non-articulated structural elements of the Robot. The Frame Perimeter of a Robot is defined by the outer-most set of exterior verticies on the Robot that are within the Bumper Zone, which is between 2 and 10 in. from the floor. Minor protrusions no greater than ¼ in. such as bolt heads, fastener ends, and rivets are not considered part of the Frame Perimeter.

I hope this helps

Re: Bumper height zone?

Does anyone else see this as a particularly obnoxious selection? With a 6" barrier to cross, the maximum ground clearance of the bumper is 5". The bumper will hit the barrier before any other part of the robot can contact it.

The barrier is only 4" tall - it's 6" wide. (Manual, 2.2.5)

Re: Bumper height zone?

Wow. TY. Maybe I should read the rule myself rather than listening to what someone else reads to me. Ugh.
