Shooting for...what?

So regardless of whether or not you are shooting, throwing, punching, what have you, what are you aiming to hit with your attempts? Bank shots? Back Rim? Swish? Roll them in? Not aiming? Something I haven't thought of?

I'm interested to see what people think will be most effective or easiest. This is the one key way that the shooting aspect of the game differs from 2006, so it is definitely something to think about!

Re: Shooting for...what?

I would be very careful if you play for bank shots. Based on the angle you are to the back board you might be aiming for the center of the square if your a straight on or a couple of inches to the side of the square if your near the corner. Also anyone that plays basketball will tell you the backboard is usually only used if you are inside the key (the entire rectangle and semi circle). Also sadly there will be no nice swish sound, the nets are ziptied down :/

Feeding, always aimed at the other side of the field.

Re: Shooting for...what?

We are currently working with an arc shot approach. The backboard has been noticed to be rather unreliable when it comes to direct shots.
