Can't Install Windriver
Hello, I have a mac and am using VMware w/ windows 7. I know that Professor Miller uses this configuration so in theory I should have no problem. For some reason when I put in the disk and click setup.exe as it pops up - the disc spins and then I get "An error has occured. See the log file \\ vmware - host\ shared Folders\ .wrinstaller -1.2 \1326159933097.log
I am using disc one that came in the kop Thanks, JP |

Re: Can't Install Windriver
So, I put in disc two and that is working... It says install disc 1 first. Is it bad to install disc 2? I'm using windows 7

Re: Can't Install Windriver
I've been using Parallels, and I'm not sure if the difference is the issue. That message is a new one on me.
Is that an out of the box Windows 7 installation? Have you successfully installed other stuff on it? Brad |

Re: Can't Install Windriver
Using disk two only made me think it was working! It got to 47 % and gave me a similar error message...

Re: Can't Install Windriver
Case Solved! As Professor Miller hinted, there is some problem with VMware fusion. If you are on a mac and trying to use windows for coding in wind river either use boot camp or parallels. I am using parallels and it works perfect.
Thanks, JP |
