Balls outside the 84" perimiter?

Is it permissible in the rules for the balls being carried on the robot to extend outside the maximum of 84" height? I.e. if your launcher design held a ball and the top of the ball was at 86", would that be permissable? Thanks.

A ball is not part of your robot. Else, it would have to be included in the weight restrictions. So it doesn't affect your robot dimensions either.
