Best Bumper Numbers?

How do you all put your bumper numbers on and what are the best methods/types of numbers to use? We want to make sure they stay on this year!

Sharpie it up!

Silver Sharpie, idea stolen from 148/1114.

If so,

http://www.amazon.com/Sharpie-MARKER.../dp/B0026HC9F4

Either way sharpies work great.

Re: Best Bumper Numbers?

Here is the rule they need to be at least outlined in white, so silver should be fine as long as you outline it in white

[R35] GAME

Teams shall display their team number on the Bumpers in four locations at approximately 90° intervals around the perimeter of the Robot. The numerals must be at least 4 in. high, at least ¾ in. in stroke width, and be either white in color or outlined in white. Team numbers must be clearly visible from a distance of not less than 100 ft, so that judges, referees, and announcers can easily identify competing Robots.

Does anyone know what 254 uses for their bumper numbers?

And I like the sharpie Idea, if we can't get them embroidered.

Re: Best Bumper Numbers?

We silk-screened last year, and it was our best set of bumpers ever.

Re: Best Bumper Numbers?

We always sew ours on. Same fabric that we use for our bumpers, except in white. Always comes out sharp so you can see the number from far away.

Re: Best Bumper Numbers?

We use white fabric paint with a stencil. Very easy, very cheap!

We use yellow silkscreen ink painted on freehand. This year we'll switch to white

Solid embroidered and sewn corners. I made them and it took weeks. Embroidery was about $15-$20 per 3-digit number.

Re: Best Bumper Numbers?

I was thinking: 1114, 148, 469, 111, 16, 33, 67 - Those have to be some of the best bumper numbers.
