NJ FIRST Needs Your Help!

Ever wanted to change something about the FIRST Robotics Competition, but thought your opinion didn’t matter? It does now! NJ FIRST is proud to announce the creation of the NJ FIRST Student Leadership Assembly!

That’s where you, the students, come in. We are looking for one student representative from EVERY FRC team in New Jersey to participate in this committee. These students will provide first-hand feedback of events, offer ideas on how to make events current and exciting, plan a social event for the upcoming regional, develop new opportunities to increase the student impact on the FIRST community, and help with the creation of new off-season events!

Remember! We are only accepting applications for ONE student per team. It’s up to you and your team to decide whom the best representative will be.

How to Join
Note! All representatives should be designated by November 30th.

The student members of each FRC team in New Jersey will select one team member to be their team's student representative by any means they feel appropriate. Teams should select as their representative individuals who have the time, commitment, experience, knowledge, and skills needed to successfully fulfill the functions of the New Jersey FIRST Robotics Team Leadership Assembly. The teacher-coach of each team will notify New Jersey FIRST (aka me) of their team's representative via e-mail at sreffler@gmail.com

Just an FYI -
I have only received nominations from a handful of teams, so PLEASE, if you haven't yet submitted your representative, please do so!

For those of you looking for a bit more information, I know we're about to get into the most hectic time of your life, but don't worry! We were hoping not to have a meeting during build season, but at worst, we'll have something like an AIM Chat or the like.
