I still believe that if we are legitimately trying to make FRC be recognized as a real sport, then the GDC must treat it like one. |

Hall of Fame FIRST Team 254 has arguably helped more teams become good than any other team in FIRST. I don't think they need a lecture on helping their opponents. |

I had told my new team this joke: "They procrastinate so much, no wonder they're the Heroes of Tomorrow!", but I guess the joke doesn't have any truth in it anymore. They were really on their game this year! |

Yeah, that's a hardware problem. Definitely something to blame the electricals for. Programmers just work there. |

I said it was called FIRST Robotics and the coolest thing I'd seen that day was a 150lb robot balance with another one on a teeter-tooter and and then score basketballs from 30 feet away. |

FIRST describes this program as students working "side by side" with professional mentors. We describe our team as working "shoulder to shoulder." Maximum learning happens with maximum interaction between students and mentors, whenever and wherever that may be. |

if you want to repay us for the omni-wheels, use the money to help out a few rookie teams next year. Buy them batteries or help build them bumpers, anything you see fit will be much better than cash back to us. |

Just take a chance. Dream and live. It's not a wild decision, but just ask yourself - if I got my team just a little bit more spending money, where would my team be then? Then, change that dream into a reality. Help your team sustain itself to inspire more kids. |

So much energy is wasted complaining (even in this thread) and belittling others (subtly in this thread). You need to engineer an attitude that encourages success through hard work before you engineer the robot. |

As everyone knows, our students don't actually design or build the robot, so to make it look like they were working on it for the video, we hid cookies inside the unfinished frame and turned them loose. It looks believable. |
