I can see the 2013 Kickoff broadcast now: "Hello Teams. Welcome back. Gracious Professionalism. Here's some homework. Here's the animation. Here's what the actual field looks like. RTFM. Peace." |

If my shop was snowed in and my unfinished robot was sitting in there, I'd dig it out with a plastic spoon or melt it out with a Bic lighter if I had to. Every hour counts. If there's a will, there's a way to make it happen. |

"How do we make our team be like your team?" That's the sort of question everyone should be asking of these so-called "elite" or "powerhouse" teams. |

A problematic dynamic and culture becomes apparent when failure persists for such a duration and reoccurs so frequently that students begin to accept it as the norm, and never learn the proper way to do things. |

Maybe FIRST could get a sponsorship from Ikea, and we all could get flat-packed field parts with pictoral assembly instructions. And then all the parts could have funny names. |

Programming isn't that hard once you get the hang of it. It has a steep learning curve like math. One day your trying to figure out 1+1, then the next day they throw x and y at you. Once you understand what x and y represent and learn to think in terms of functions, it's as easy as pi. |
