Also, I'm tired of the "FIRST is a simulation of the real world"-- it isn't. If the real world was like FIRST, there wouldn't be any need for this organization. |

Competition isn't about the resources you don't have, it's making the most out of what you do have. |

FIRST isn't a competition. It's a learning experience. Share the knowledge, and you'll learn more because there's bound to be someone who sees something about your project that even your own team didn't realize it can do. |

Just take a chance. Dream and live. It's not a wild decision, but just ask yourself - if I got my team just a little bit more spending money, where would my team be then? Then, change that dream into a reality. Help your team sustain itself to inspire more kids. |

Theory is when you know everything but nothing works. Practice is when everything works but you don't know why. On our team, theory and practice comes together. Nothing works and nobody knows why. |

IMHO, [the driver's] job is to drive the robot. The coaches job is to monitor everything in a match that isn't your robot. |

The biggest thing is you don't have to make your robot like another teams. Come up with something unique and go from there. RAISE THE BAR.....

You have not only joined a robotic competition, you will discover that you are becoming a member of a very large and wonderful family. The more years that you participate, the larger your FIRST family will become. |
