But frankincense and myrrh will come in handy after your team starts to smell during that first design meeting. |

I am sad that the Patriots lost, and I am happy for both teams that won...but I am even more thrilled that for the next two weeks robot building in the midwest comes to a standstill. ;) |

I don't really care that the best on Curie may or may not be better than Newton, since we're going to spend the rest of the offseason discussing it no matter how the decision fell. |

Just be yourself, be honest, and most importantly, be present. The best role models are the ones you can relate to. |

The only constant in FRC is change. Learning to adapt to change in competition is the best way to prepare for change in real life. |

I have learned so much from this program and am forever changed by FIRST and its community. You have made me a better person in so many ways. Thank you. |

The great thing about autonomous mode is that it doesn't require any additional effort from anyone else on your team... (You could do that yourself...but I've noticed that people will usually offer to do it for you, rather than let the programmer touch power tools.) |

In any case, don't beat yourself up over it. Only 24 teams get to play in elimination rounds. Sometimes you're in the 24, and sometimes you aren't. |

There's a balance to it all, when the engineers guide the students, and both cooperate to build a robot. There can be no better way then when both sides are in cooperation - the true spirit of FIRST. |

The major items of FIRST are still what they always were.....understand the game, build a reliable quality machine to play it, train you drivers to use it to its full potential. If you do these things, you can win with or without any specific machine feature. |

So basically, the advantage of #35 is that it allows you to be sloppier in your design and fabrication. If you pay close attention to these details, you will never have a problem with #25 chain. |

A winning robot is not a winning robot unless you have winning drivers too. You need the time to develop both. |

I still believe that if we are legitimately trying to make FRC be recognized as a real sport, then the GDC must treat it like one. |

Focus on solving the problem, not on being deliberately creative. If you effectively solve the problem, creativity is naturally leveraged as part of finding a great solution. |
