You do need help. Don't reject offers of assistance from veterans. There are more things you don't know than you think there are. |

Since you have to undo all the connections anyway in order to swap them, you might as well take advantage of the opportunity to do some simple and straightforward troubleshooting. |

Whether or not you use wheel weights, if you're running a wheel at several thousand RPM, you'd better have an effective containment system to protect the outside world in case something spontaneously disassembles itself. |

I feel that the only friends I have ever had are people I know through FIRST. Being on a team gave me the sense of belonging that I thought I didn't even need. FIRST has given me a great life that I never thought I would have. |

The math isn't that hard. It's just a tool, like a screwdriver or soldering iron. Sure you get tired of picking up the same old thing everyday, but when you have to tighten a screw you still reach for the screwdriver. |

It is not necessary to draw 200 amps to move a robot through a two minute match. Rule of thumb is you robot should be able to compete for three matches without a battery change. |

Temp wiring is always bad but it is made worse when dealing with a $1000+ part. You wouldn't try to lash a makeshift power source to your PC. |

Build a student a robot and it will keep him/her busy for a few days in the spring. Teach a student how to build(design, wire, program) a robot and they will stay away from home, use some really strange language and wear funny clothes the whole year long. |

GP makes us all on one and the same team. They understand that in order for any of us to succeed, we need to help out where we can. It is why you will see so many other teams helping a team with a failing robot, buggy software, team strategy, etc. |
