it's not because the kids look up to him that [Dave] gets picked on, it's really because it's just so much fun. |

Winning a competition is great, but seeing kids who never thought they had a chance before suddenly discover a brand new future would be the most amazing experience. |

Has anyone else figured out a way to slip robotics into any conversation possible? Salespeople, nurse, dentist, pizza delivery guy... they all hear about it... It's gotten to the point where telemarketers will no longer call me, I have to call them... poor telemarketers... |

If you look closer, you'll see I did those photos over a period of years... and they were only done with one program... but yeah, a little free time with no where to direct it and I can become, um, creative... |

It doesn't make a team better if they have just one sponsor or if they have 100 sponsors. However, you should commend a team who struggled to pay the bill with a list of sponsors one hundred long for showing their strength, perseverance and love for participating in the FIRST robotics program. |

Is FIRST making it too easy?... yes they are making it easier than years past. But I would also say that does that matter? If students are still inspired to pursue more advanced designs and eventually a career in the technology sector we still have met our ultimate goal. |

As everyone knows, our students don't actually design or build the robot, so to make it look like they were working on it for the video, we hid cookies inside the unfinished frame and turned them loose. It looks believable. |
