...I tried to pump it up to the 47 inches. I stopped around 42 inches, than tried getting it through a 36" door. It got stuck, I proceeded to dropkick the thing in front of my team and a girl I had gone out with the previous Fri. It didn't move, I hit the floor.
Ouch, my pride. |

Backstabbing your opponents at the last second will not help you win friends and word will get around pretty quick. Your team will be shunned and distrusted for years. People have long memories, and some of us mentors have been playing this game since you kids were playing with blocks. |

Analysis is a tool. Like any other tool you need to figure out where and when to use it. That's the tricky part. |

The game objectives are still the same, get boxes into your scoring zone, stack approximately half of them, run for the top of the ramp.
So lets sit down, shut up, and start building robots. |

FIRST robots are not six week projects. They are never ending projects where the requirements are changed on an annual basis. |

So go out and learn something new, even if it is old. Co-operate in this and you'll get much more out of it. Cheat and you are only cheating yourself. |

Hmmm I think I hear phones ringing. Panic calls to the Rules committee to figure out how to close THAT loophole, which you could drive a truck through. Have you considered a career in Law? |

.. if everybody else is buying all the thingamabobs so they can practice shoving balls into the whatsit. Maybe what you really want is to buy thingys so you can build a practice whojidingle. Being the only whojidingle robot can be a real advantage come alliance picking time ... |

When there appears to be something stupid wrong with a game (HPs outscoring robots, unreliable loading, autonomous that accomplishes nothing) I shouldn't complain about it. I should see it as a challenge to exploit! |
