I volunteered to be the person responsible for the electronics and raised my hand before realizing that I have had almost no electronics experience. I hope our robot turns out alright... |

If your prototype works perfectly, you've been working on it too long. |

Vista is like Dave's game hints. They may look good but you really want nothing to do with them... |

I guess we'll just have to resort back to our original plan of telepathy. |

The driver must have a relationship with the robot, the driver should talk to the robot, speak soft encouraging words to it. Pet names are also a good idea. If the driver does not love the robot, how can the driver learn to trust the robot. |

I'd say start working on other forms of wireless communication. Scout using Morse Code, hand signals, light flashes (LOST anybody?)... Paper cups and string are cheap too... |

We should create string networks at Nats. Just have miles of string running between the Georgia Dome and the GWCC. :D |

And your other point, "why a debate over a nonexistent rule?". Its summer, we're not building robots, and we're geeks. What else are we supposed to do? |

If they need a place where they can get a chance to learn interpersonal skills (like a team), it might just help them to become well-adjusted adults, as opposed to pathologically antisocial engineers (who got good grades). |

No really though, a robot game with rules similar to Risk. This would combine FIRST, Battlebots, and US Government... |

Everyone is reading way too much into this. The game piece is clearly a bunch of Opahs this year. Problem solved, case closed. Start designing your fish handling robots now. |
