Belts are a fine way of transferring power in a robot. Like chains, gears, drive shafts, viscous couplings or any other means of transmission they require some care and attention on you're part. But no one said this robot stuff was going to be a cake walk. |

Engineers are not eligible to join NEMO, but that's OK! For us, there is an ad-hoc disorganization, notionally dubbed EMO. Meetings have no agenda and are called at random, usually in the evenings following long days at FIRST events. |

We also have a CNC mill and CNC lathe, but we're interested in doing this only if we can do it quickly. Milling anything takes too long for my MTV-generation attention span. :) |

While we discuss this stuff, let's keep our heads on straight. Open your eyes and look around you. Let's celebrate our common goal while accepting our differences. |

If you look closer, you'll see I did those photos over a period of years... and they were only done with one program... but yeah, a little free time with no where to direct it and I can become, um, creative... |

Hmmm I think I hear phones ringing. Panic calls to the Rules committee to figure out how to close THAT loophole, which you could drive a truck through. Have you considered a career in Law? |

Or you could go to the Waterloo or Greater Toronto regional, walk up to anyone in their pit, and ask. You may end up feeling like you asked for a sip of water and ended up soaked by a fire hose, but you won't walk away disappointed. |

everyone in FIRST has to do the cha cha slide at least once per season to get it out of their system. Now I can go back to doing it in the privacy of my own car (if you see a red Jeep in CT swerving back and forth don't worry, it's just me doing the slide...)! |
