I understand that I'm in the minority when it comes to these things, so when the coverage switches to one these stories I exercise my right to change the channel. |

Don’t forget the purpose of Chiefdelphi. It is to keep the community connected and to help each other out. Moderators have been working days and nights to keep this forum going years after years. Let’s keep this place professional. |

By the way, a piece of advice to all those who haven't gone to Manchester for Kickoff before: Go. It's something you have to do at least once in your time in FIRST. |

We would expect our bot to be done by Week 5, but usually its about a day or two before shipping and then the ever-famous "all nite programmin' n driva trainin'" is done. |

The very fact that parts are rumored to be being re-used may be sufficient reason for the rule-makers to change a rule to prevent the re-use of that very part (not that they would ever be that devious!) |

I can't wait until Kick Off! Simultaneously across the country there will be one loud cry of "Doh!", followed by the sound of smacking foreheads with the palm of a hand, then "Why didn't I figure that out? I saw the hint". Indeed, hind sight is 20/20. |

Dean's said it before, and it's been repeated many times, but it clearly hasn't sunk in yet, so I'll say really loudly. FIRST is not a science fair!

Although I have much yet to go, in my short time in FIRST I have learned there is no such thing as a waste of time, especially when a) fundraising, b) mentoring students, or c) reading directions.

All I know is that last year in Philadelphi, our camera locked dead onto MOE (Team 365) and their flourescent green shirts during the matches. They might want to consider what would happen if they get pelted with balls during the autonomous period! :ahh: |

There are a maximum of 80 balls in play . If all the balls are in the goals or out of play and the human players won't throw them back in, I guess the robots might try line dancing or doing the cha-cha. |

Since our team is in possession of the school, we have no restrictions on how late we can be there. So our teams are often practicing into the wee hours of the morning. Also, the school board uses "the breeze" for storage of high jump mats, so it's a great place to nap. :) |
