Hello... I need one order of Thunderchicken, extra crispy. Yes, I would like fries with that. OK... go ahead and super-size it. What, only $2.17!? Sweet. |

... One of the things I happen to like about the Chief Delphi community is that at every competition I go to, someone recognises me and comes over to say hi ... I meet someone new, they meet someone new, and it's win/win. |

... Imagine NOT being able to count on certain things to stay the same from year to year... It makes you wonder what sort of sick, twisted mind would do such a thing to all those innocent teams out there... |

They may call us geeks and nerds, but deep down under that prejudice they know they want to be the hard-core, sleep-deprived, hand drill-toting, robot builders we know we are! |

You will find friends among all FIRST students who will become very good friends of yours, will care and help you with anything that you need help with. This is my personal opinion, If you are hooked, dont ever let it go. |

You know you're overdosed on FIRST when you see the thread titled "team 228 can and bottle drive" and think "what kind of crazy drivetrain is that?" |

How is it that so many team representatives have the time to run up the post count to astronomical levels in a game hint thread, while so few seem to have the time to say thank you for a $6K gift that funds the ability to play the game? |

If you're in the Chairman's Award just to win the Chairman's Award, you're doing it for all the wrong reasons. The award is there as a goal to strive for, but it shouldn't be the reason why you conduct yourself and reach out to your community and beyond the way you do. |

The problem is though, as long as the teams are allowed to work on their robots on Thursday, they will, and they'll never learn to finish it before the event. |

By the looks, 1114 has already figured out both #1 and #2. They're still behind 71, who is just about done with their robot for the 2012 season, is getting driver practice for 2011, and is working on their robot designs for the 2013 water game. You're still way behind. |

If I was making this I would want to not have to use anything smaller than a 3/16" end mill, but 1/8" would be acceptable. Anything smaller and I'd tell the designer to go play in traffic. |

From a coaching standpoint, I can tell you...the coach is NOTHING without valuable scout information. If the coach is nothing, the robot is NOTHING. It all starts from the scouts...get your kids to see this. |

I'm not of the belief that this is the intent or purpose of Chief Delphi. It is a place for sharing knowledge and information, perspectives, and humor. In the process, it has created community. |
