Although I have much yet to go, in my short time in FIRST I have learned there is no such thing as a waste of time, especially when a) fundraising, b) mentoring students, or c) reading directions.

During the year I can't wait for the game hint to be released, but then as soon as it is released and I read it for the first time my head starts to hurt and I regret reading it at all... |

Maybe between Art, skimoose, and some of the other intelligent folks on CD (most of us), we can force a redesign of the game.... |

All I know is that last year in Philadelphi, our camera locked dead onto MOE (Team 365) and their flourescent green shirts during the matches. They might want to consider what would happen if they get pelted with balls during the autonomous period! :ahh: |

There are a maximum of 80 balls in play . If all the balls are in the goals or out of play and the human players won't throw them back in, I guess the robots might try line dancing or doing the cha-cha. |

Since our team is in possession of the school, we have no restrictions on how late we can be there. So our teams are often practicing into the wee hours of the morning. Also, the school board uses "the breeze" for storage of high jump mats, so it's a great place to nap. :) |

Do not treat Vex and FLL as inferior because they may not get as much exposure as FRC on these boards. Just remember, FLL has seven times more teams than FRC from twenty additional countries. |

[on the 2007 field control software] its crazy -- not only did they sound like the same old sound effects we know and love, but it seemed like they actually occured at the time they were supposed to! :) |

The true beauty is, no matter what the game (Yes, even 2001), we spend these 6 weeks going crazy with design strategy, and trying to figure out a way to work the plot twists that the GDC throws at us...and its a blast. |

I don't fully buy into the 'we're all winners' concept. That is a broad statement that doesn't really say much. How did we become all winners? What did we do to become winners? Pay an expensive registration fee and participate in a robotic competition? |
