Like many researchers before me, I look and read about what my peers are doing and developing, and then incorperate the best of them into my ideas or change my focus because of them. - Wetzel [more] |

I created a large-scale drawing of the 2005 field in order to do tabletop simulations of the game.
The intent is to get this two-page file printed at Kinko's or someplace that can print it on 36" wide plotter paper.
Then, create mini tetras and mini-goals using plastic soda straws, aper clip corner connectors, etc so that you can "visualize" what a full alliance field with siz robots, nine goals, etc may look like.
Put this ona tabletop in your practice room. Then get down at eye-level and see what traffic problems, sight line problems you'll be facing.
I did this since we're a rookie team and have never (yet) experienced a regional "life-sized" event.
***Caveat: Although I took all the dimensions off of the official chart, I can't guarantee that this scaled-down exactly correctly.
